Property Records Exemption Staff Appraiser

Description:

  • The Dallas Central Appraisal District is seeking the position of Property Records Exemption Staff Appraiser.

Requirements:

  • Responsible for gathering information and performing fieldwork to determine eligibility for exemptions including Partials, Totals, Historics, Abatements and assist with TIF zones and agricultural valuation of property.
  • Assures changes in legal status and/or physical characteristics to real property are accurately reflected on the computer records and plats. Represents DCAD in Appraisal Review Board Hearings.
  • The candidate should have excellent analytical and customer service skills and strong personal computer skills. A bachelor’s degree is required. In certain circumstances, the bachelor’s degree requirement may be waived for an individual with either (1) a Registered Professional Appraiser designation and current active registration with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation or (2) ten or more years of active appraisal experience within the last fifteen years of the date of application.

Business Personal Property Appraiser

Description:

  • The Dallas Central Appraisal District is seeking the position of Business Personal Property Appraiser/Staff Appraiser.

Requirements:

  • Responsibilities include touring and appraising businesses for property tax purposes, as well as interacting with business property owners to resolve issues.
  • The candidate should have excellent analytical and customer service skills including strong personal computer skills.
  • A Bachelors degree is required.
  • In certain circumstances the college degree requirement may be waived for an individual with either a Registered Professional Appraiser designation and current active
  • registration with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation or ten or more years of active appraisal experience within the last fifteen years from the date of the application.

Property Records Exemption Receptionist

Description:

  • The Dallas Central Appraisal District is seeking the position of Property Records Exemption Receptionist.

Requirements:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software.
  • A minimum of two years of previous related experience is preferred. Candidate must be able to work effectively with other staff, taxpayers, taxing jurisdictions and tax consultants.
  • Candidate must possess good verbal and written communication skills and must be flexible to perform other duties as workload for this position allows. Able to quickly ascertain callers need, provide a quick and accurate response to simple questions or forward call to appropriate personnel.
  • A positive and professional image is required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Commercial Appraiser

Description:

  • The Dallas Central Appraisal District is seeking the position of Commercial Appraiser/Staff Appraiser.

Requirements:

  • Responsibilities include accurately measuring and appraising commercial properties for property tax purposes as well as interacting with commercial property owners to resolve issues.
  • Candidate will be expected to visit construction sites and must be able to work outdoors in unfavorable weather conditions.
  • Candidate should have excellent analytical and customer service skills including strong personal computer skills.
  • A Bachelors degree is required.
  • In certain circumstances the college degree requirement may be waived for an individual with either a Registered Professional Appraiser designation and current active
  • registration with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation or ten or more years of active appraisal experience within the last fifteen years from the date of the application.
